The fight between Stephen Fulton Jr. and O'Shaquie Foster was no longer for Foster's WBC junior lightweight title because Fulton failed to make the required weight limit. Fulton, the WBC super featherweight champion, moved up a division to challenge Foster. However, at the official weigh-in, Fulton checked in at 132 pounds (approximately 59.8 kg), two pounds over the junior lightweight limit (130 pounds or approximately 58.9 kg). Foster could retain his title if he won or if the fight ended in a draw. If Fulton won, the title would be declared vacant.
