Team Ireland’s Michaela Walsh says World Boxing's holding of a joint Men’s and Women’s World Championships means Women’s boxing is now on-par with the Men’s. The double Olympian says bringing the Men’s and Women’s competitions together unites the boxing community – and she’s hoping the Irish fans bring the noise in Liverpool, September 4th to 14th. Michaela, representing Ireland at 57kg, is currently training with Team Ireland at an 18 nation, 144 boxer camp in Sheffield. 17 Team Ireland boxers will be among 500 from 60 nations vying for the top of the podium at the M&S Arena.
