What made the experience of listening to Band of Brothers the most enjoyable?Learning about citizen soldiers becoming heroes under horrifying conditions. What was one of the most memorable moments of Band of Brothers?The DDay and Bastogne chapters read like a war novel. Would you consider the audio edition of Band of Brothers to be better than the print version?It's the best WWII story ever told. These men are true hero's. Lt. Winters is my hero.I couldn't put it down.
If you want to see how company- and platoon-level combat played out between Normandy and the fall of Berlin, this is the one you want. If you want the "Big Picture," I recommend Rick Atkinson's The Guns At Last Light. Reading both - I suggest Atkinson first - gives a really nice appreciation for what US troops faced between June 1944 and April 1945.This is the best of Ambrose's audiobooks that I have listened to or books that I have read. If there is a better audiobook or book out there covering the troop's-eye view of combat on the western front of WWII, I haven't seen it yet.
There's so much that has been left aside in the history books and schools teaching our children today. I firmly believe that if the current generation does not learn or know the history such as this regarding evil and war, we as a nation are doomed!
The story covered the whole concept of E company and gave good closure on the characters.I thank God for service men like these.

This book is well worth the listen, but the Narrator butchers certain names and places badly. It takes from the book. You would think, when narrating a book with real people and places that still exist today, you would do your due diligence and make sure the names are correct.
