So the story is about a super soldier who was in cryogenic for 60 years and now wake up in todays world. So far so good after two episodes. I liked the series. It has little bit humor not more action and story going in good way. At the second episode end got good element of surprise may be some may predict. You already the the story good guy will kill bad one but they make it so good that you going to like it. Entertaining with humor, action, some suspense. Currently watched only two so my review is based on that maybe after it I like it more or not. But definitely worth giving a shot. Watch it at least 2 episodes. You will like it.
I decided to give this a go after having read what it was about. I really was not expecting much from it, but it turned out to be a lot more interesting than I had expected. Genetically altered Super Spy cryogenically frozen by a former Nazi scientist (who speaks Spanish with a bad German accent) and awakened in modern day. It hits almost every trope you could think of from that set up and it's still fun to watch. It's listed as a drama but it's only slightly more a drama than Warehouse 13 or Buffy, leaning more to a Action/Scifi/Comedy though it can be very dry on the humour. I'm hoping it gets a Season 2, They set it up nicely for it... I need to know more about the 3rd pod.
Disclaimer: I don't know much about Spain or its political history, so if you're looking for something authentic or accurate, I won't be able to comment. I'm just rolling with the plot as it comes and I'm really enjoying the series!!! This is my favorite genre to watch and I admit some bits are a tad predictable but I find the series fun and entertaining. Some comedy, some action, some seriousness, some backstabbing. Garcia is extremely likeable character thus far and I'm here for Antonia's rapid rants. I find myself eagerly waiting for the next episodes to see where the plot goes and dearly hope the show continues for more seasons.
I can't even finish the first episode. The writing is bad (K-pop reference made me cringe real bad), the acting is mediocre (the lead is bad overall, most under-30 characters are comically overacted, most over-30 characters are musty museum-pieces), and the scenario is utterly generic and without any surprise. It feels like watching children TV: cloyingly sentimental, and peppered with infodumps in the form of incongruous phone-calls. That's a shame because the Franco regime and its legacy are an interesting subject, and could have made for an interesting spy thriller. Every Spanish series look like telenovela, so perhaps I ought to quit complaining about German TV!
