'Moneyball' is wondrously crafted and so much deeper then its surface of sport and economics. An extremely effective and touching screenplay with the marvelous performances of Brad Pitt & Jonah Hill carried this film. I typically don't enjoy movies that are designed for broad audiences but I sure loved this one. 'Moneyball' could be the greatest depiction of sport business in cinema.

An inspiring movie about an unemotional subject. Moneyball is a great film about the virtue of pursuing your dreams, even if logic tells you otherwise, which stands in conflict with the main plot of the film, which focuses on Billy Beane (played by a note perfect Brad Pitt) a boss trying to introduce objective analysis to baseball, a sport where evaluation still relies heavily on feelings and innuendo. It's in the conflict between Billy Beane's emotional "need" and his logical "want" were Moneyball shines. I won't spoil it, but if you love sports, Moneyball is a poetic film that will remind you of why you love sports. Great direction by Bennet Miller. Great scripting by Stan Chervin, Aaron Sorkin, and Steve Zailian.

Think Jeremy Maguire with less heart, let's face it you can't anymore heart in a movie than JM. Brad Pitt is the general manager of poor but over achieving baseball team. When he meets Jonah Hill during a transfer meeting with another team he is introduced to whole new way of recruitment and winning by using statistics. The whole concept is interesting as it's based on a true story but the stellar cast have you hooked and give the movie real feeling as the underdogs try to achieve glory.

What an amazing movie....! Brad Pitt steps in as Billy Beane, a failed baseball player who is looking for redemption as the GM of Oakland A's. The sheer honesty with which Brad Pitt plays the character makes it so real.... all the struggles he goes through to put a team on the field with a really low budget, its all just the sheer brilliance of Pitt. You don't need to know baseball to understand the movie. That's the most amazing thing about it. Jonah was on also on point and this could easily be Pitt's best work. It's a masterpiece really!

Bennett Miller has this incredibly unique ability to create movies which regard activities I'm utterly disinterested with & yet he makes them thoroughly enjoyable, overwhelmingly emotional & surprisingly compelling. Moneyball is directed, edited & shot beautifully - a literal masterclass in perfect filmmaking - grounding the story so as not to lose track of its central theme; overcoming adversity in the face of inevitable defeat - one of the best underdog movies put to film. It's fiercely intelligent, cleverly written, well constructed & led by an effective understated performance from unappreciated talent Brad Pitt.
