November Story

No matter how good the story is, the execution and has to satisfy the viewers to make the overall viewing experience good. November story had a good plot but lets down due to poor making. The overall story could have ended in 3-4 episodes. But the director unnecessarily drags the story to keep the audience engaged, which he has pathetically failed to do. The motive behind the plot is very weak and lacks compulsion. PLS AVOID !

If you are up for irritating yourself with the slowest thriller then go for it. I mean the plot was beautiful but the execution is meh!! Intentional slow scenes were huge turnoffs! Killed the suspense.

Wish you (Director Indhra Subramanian) named it Nasty instead of November Story! Clearly a massacre of nasty dismay. Why did you have to choose my favorite month of the year? Now all those good memories will be attached along with your illogical script, not wiped off literally! I found out that the main aim of the director is to keep dragging the storyline wherein you will be forced to accept it as a decent web series! Sad thing is the near-to-suspenseful Cinematography done by Vidhu Ayyanna didn't do much fair play because the skeleton of the story has got a crippled effect due to the diseased writing. Eventually you will find out that you had been wasting time, watching the murky shots contained in all the seven episodes (i didn't even want to see it, i just forwarded when it was unbearable, some of the scenes were really gruesome), a killer waste deposit because i literally got betrayed. I was thinking to myself, the action would start now, next scene or maybe the following next episode, but nothing happens and i am like so cheated right royally because I trusted the star cast Tamannah Bhatia. I mean did she actually do a job of acting or is it just a camouflage of her pretty face so as to make me forget the horrible script that she was trying to act or force me to make me see it all, when she clearly needs some acting classes. Seriously! Which now makes me compare this to baahubali, wherein the same actor did her best, with the brilliant script and the amazing Director Rajamouli, she basked in his glory! The directors really have to know the difference of mixing anthologies, or confusing people with different logics, stories and trying to weave them into one. The Making of a daily soap from T. V. and using that to make-believe as a classic crime murder mystery is an indication of seriously falling standards of Tamil Web Series, which is exactly what you will experience in November Story more than expecting a miracle. I prefer Netflix to be honest. That is undoubtedly pure class & compose. The very act of story telling is disappearing fast in this technology world. That s my final word! Better Luck Next time team! This series has all the ingredients of an engaging thriller, especially when tamil industry has set very high standards when it comes to this genre. But, the last episode or to be precise, the last 20/25 minutes reminds me of now a days almost forgotten Bollywood. The business with the culprit should have ended quickly and smartly and that is where writing went little loose. Rated it 8 because this series has that calibre of keeping you engaged. It has good story and natural performances by all cast. Cops group stands out; I liked it a lot. Long flashbacks with unnecessary tensed music at the start of each episode should have been kept short and crisp. I would recommend it to any thriller enthusiast.

Thriller movies logic had better be watertight. But this one leaks all over. One basic thing autopsy report cant be decided by one doctor. After 2012 usually most of the autopsies for rape will be accompanied by female doctor. In a city like Hyderabad in a student rape there will be one for sure. Forensic police have to collect the swabs and other samples. There should be circumstantial evidence. Nothing is shown to the viewers. In reality kuzhandai will be jail for tampering/falsifying evidence. Cringe hacking scenes. Miscast tamannah. I felt like she is forcefully bringing facial expressions. Bad dubbing as well.
