I found the plot and characters authentic and interesting. Also kudos to the writer for creating a character for a trans Afro Brazilian. Netflix is spoiling the series by using American actors to voice over the original voices of the characters. Please return the film to its original form. American viewers will take the time to read the subtitles. It's not that difficult. The boy who plays the son is fantastic. A real natural and steals many of the scenes just by his innocence and sense of longing. I hope he finds additional opportunities beyond this series. Both for him and the main character.
I enjoyed every bit of this show. I hope their is more to come of September Mornings. Cassandra was excellent. The cast was chosen perfectly and they absolutely did wonderful. Cassandra definitely have the star actress glow. Jus gorgeous and fabulous. Would like to see her in more roles so bring and promote her in the states for tv and film also. We want more episodes and seasons to follow. There is so much to this story.
Spoilers below. I love that Cassandra didn't warm up to her son right away. It's such a terrific show and original show. Please please another season. These are rich 3 dimensional characters that we rarely see. I also like that, except for the son, the leads are not exactly likeable. So great.
I turned on the subtitles because I knew that I would want to see all 5 episodes. I loved the actors, the locations, the depth of the subject matter and more. Brava to "Cassandra"!
The plot is intense and wonderful. Beautiful photography and sad songs. Cast (Brazilian movie's new generation) is brilhant. Liniker is fantastic as an actress!
Silent. If you have nothing nice to say then stay silent. This show deserves nothing below a 7. Can't lie and say I'm not curious to read what the haters had to hate on. Im sad I waited to long to watch this but I find it appropriate I finished it on this morning of September (2023:). The characters were all developed at a great pace. Almost felt like I was reading a book. Watched this in its original language, as you should be, so you can fully feel the acting actors (not the voiceover actors) put in. VA are good in their own right but never for movies or shows especially when they don't grasp the piece they are working on. Most of the time they are lacking true depth/emotion. I hope another seasons comes to fruition seeing as they introduced a new character last minute. It'll be great to see life pan out within Cassandra's found and birth family. I'd like to see her be welcomed with nothing but the love she seeks.
Not for the huge buzz that are making about this series, but very precise, the cinematography is beautiful, the camera is dense and the main character rocks! Love it!
A narrative so different from our own, the characters felt so real and the story of the relationship between the son and protagonist is so raw and moving. Shows the real beauty within the hardship of life. Gives us an insight into a different culture and community. Definitely worth the watch.
Extremely gentle. Not at all obvious. Surprisingly touching. I watched it all at once, like a great movie you don't want to finish. All characters are well developed and you like all at them no matter how they fail in life. I identified to actors from Bacural (another must see!) and a new star Linn da Quebrada, who acts and sings beautifully. I hope they produce a season two.
Great show. Waiting for season 2. Great photography. Keep on going.
