waiting for the season 2, please spoil me huhu.
Funny in a warm and comforting way. What's more despite the general plot being fairly common, the story is very well-made on the script level. You would often stumble upon funny jokes or amusing situations weaved into it; not to mention clearly visible effort put into attempting to add wittiness to the dialogues, complexity to the battles, or some depth to the character. To summarize, If you are in the mood for a simple, yet quite competently-made story - it's well worth giving a shot. P. S. First episode kind of sucks though. It's not terrible, just purely expositional, so may appear boring.
She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man is an action/adventure fantasy isekai that is truly enjoyable. Similar to other animes such SAO,, That Time I Got Reincarnated, Shield Hero and Demon Lord Retry, it falls into that same sort of category. But there's a twist: the MC goes from a wise sage old man to a young girl (probably the only thing that makes it slightly different). It's funny, entertaining and charming. There are probably cliché tropes that sticks to isekai's but whatever. I love the world that the characters are in because everything about the animation is beautiful. Green, luscious and a very pretty environment. The main characters have a hilarious relationship between each other as well as the side characters. It's worth watching.
Imagine suddenly and unwillingly woking up in the body of the opposite sex one day, then imagine if everyone started to automatically treat you as that sex despite their knowing that all your life life experience and mentality was that of the other and it was all deeply ingrained in you. This show explores that awkwardness in comedic ways ranging from this old respectful man being forced to play dress up in the frilliest of senses (including the realization that medieval underwear was far from simple for women) and other stereotypical little girl things that are obviously out of this old man's comfort zone - all while being filled with fantastical video game style quests. Like sword art online, no one can log out; but unlike SAO, the players get inserted into the game at different intervals and locations making it so that they have to search out their fellow players. No player encountered has yet to figure out if there even is a way out, so I'm hoping that that's a sign of a second season, especially since it really felt like it was a lead up season rather than stand alone.
