Wow! Just WOW!!! I haven´t laughed so hard in a long time. Everything is perfectly set in this movie. Just right amount of absurdity, surprise turns, acting and political incorrectness that is rare nowadays. I think it may be best spoof movie until now, at least since "Hot Saddles" and "Top Secret". I did not like the trailer but decided to watch it anyway, and boy I am happy I did. Some jokes might be little hard to get if you are not from Europe, but there is enough of them throughout the entire movie, so you will not miss anything :) I certainly recommend it, it made my day I hope it will make yours too.
The funniest thing about this movie is that, it's a parody movie about shooting a parody movie which sucks, but in the end, they both turned out to be very successful. I love the silly characters in this movie and their classic meme.
Whoever likes movies like "Spaceballs", "The naked gun" or "Johnny English" will definitely appreciate this one. It is a parody of hero movies with lots of humor, unexpected turns and, of course, intended stupidity. Being acquainted with the Marvel universe will help understand the puns. All actors stand to their standards, and the plot is funny, fresh, although a bit exaggerated. It is very entertaining, but obviously with no artistic or philosophical claims, which is just fine. Watch it with lots if friends, popcorn (or similar), and lots of beers.
This film is very French both in humor and in directing and scripting choices, there are enough cute scenes that make the film an immense parody also quite funny, in conclusion it is a normal comedy even if a bit mundane.
THis is not a movie for anyone. A combination of knowledge of Marvel movies and French society is necessary, to understand the jokes. But when you do, intelligent entertainment is guaranteed.
The trailer was okay-ish... could have been hit or miss. The film seems to start like a typical French comedy. You have to get used to that kind of style and humour... especially since some of the jokes especially at the beginning are somewhere between dad jokes or just lame. But the more the film progresses the more it matures. Yes there still are a few jokes you either like or don't... and others are just great, especially when making fun of other superhero movies, Marvel, Stan Lee etc. Just watch it and have fun.
I have seen the trailer before watching this movie and believe me is it was enough to realize how much this movie is funny , exciting , and full of surprises . This movie is definitely one of the best in its genre . A lot of fun , jokes , and entertainment .
I was a little skeptical. Never seen a truly good superhero spoof movie...until now! Every single joke landed for us, laughed through the whole film. A great comedy not just for superfans.
If you're in the mood for a fun comedy flick then "Superwho?" might be a great choice. It's got all the necessary elements to make it a parody of the superhero genre (the Spider-Man upside-down kiss scene will stick with you forever), a complete disregard for the establishment (sexual jokes abound), and actually working as a superhero movie at the same time. It also manages to entertain via its courageous way of approaching topics that are generally frowned upon in modern cinema, and the casting is one of the most likable sets of people I've ever seen. Oh, and Élodie Fontan is hot as hell! In short, this is a French movie that just works very well, despite the fact that you (and I) don't speak this language. Why not watch the trailer, then? Because it spoils a few of the great jokes that could have hit way harder if I, for one, have not witnessed them prior to seeing it in the cinema.
